Hello Dearest Family

What a great week this was!
Our boy Zaki has been staying stong. He has been out of town and working but we have been able to meet him. He is still an amazing guy and I am just so glad that I met him. He wasn't able to come to church this sunday because he texted us that he had to work. The ward was worried that we had lost him, but he is still hanging in there!
Zeina our new convert from Lebanon has been coming to church. We were able to show her the amazing talk by Julie B Beck in Arabic. Perfect for her... teaching her to always be worthy to receive and act upon the spiritual promptings we get! She is blending in with the ward so well and just so amazed by the testimony of Christ that she already has!
Last week we had just met a girl from Ivory Coast who speaks French! Colette. She speaks a little English and was so greatful to receive the Book of Mormon. As we looked around to see who in the ward spoke french. We found the guy. He was able to translate for us and we were going through Baptism and following Jesus Christ was our objective in this life. She loved it... and because the spirit was there she knew that it was something she needed to do again. She had grown up Catholic, but because she is such a stong follower of Christ, has been reading in the Book of Mormon, and prayed to know the truth... She knew that she needed to be baptized by someone holding the Priesthood. So she agreed and We are shooting for August 7th! So exciting! She came to church and was welcomed in so well by the members she had an amazing time there!
Alinda our lady from Sierra Leone. We had had an amazing teach with one of our members of the relief society and about keeping the commandments. And when we keep the commandments consistently... Then we will be protected through the "wilderness... 1 Nephi 17". It was amazing. She had commited to come to church and meet with us. Of course, Satan tried his best and got to her. We scheduled an appointment with her and she fell through... We called her and told her to come to church and she said she would come. Didn't. What to do with an investigator who wants to walk through the door leading to eternal life NOT WILLING to WALK there. So I am certain that with Prayer and Patience, this too shall pass.
Kiran from India has an amazing knowledge on how Faith works... we were able to give him the Book of Mormon in his language and he was really thankful. After a teach of the Plan of Salvation he told us that he really wanted to come to church. So as soon as his scool is over he will be coming. We also asked him if he would be baptized once he knew that Book of Mormon was true. He said OF COURSE. We shall see!
Isaac is that guy that we had found from Uganda. After he had received a Book of Mormon he had been talking with his friends about it and defending it. He came to us for questions on what to say when his friends said certain things. He is awesome. He came to church this sunday and brought one of his friends Abraham with him. Both african. Abraham and Isaac. You could only guess how the members reacted. :)
And last but NOT least....
Our Serbian Family Toskic. Remember? The miracle family that came to church because of one word that we said to them? They have been going through so much... people stormed into their house and claimed they were from the government... and drove them to another city. Luckily a member in our ward took a long drive out there to get them and moved them to a safer, MORE OUT OF THE WAY place. But they have made sure to keep in contact with us, have found ways to come to church, and have done everything they can to recieve more of the gospel. So this sunday we came to them. The bishop, relief society and elder and highpriest and their children came to their house and we held a mini sacrament meeting at their house. VERY SPIRITUAL. Because this meeting was just for them. They were able to be translated every word we said and accepted everything. Talks were given about the Spirit... and the first speaker promised them that they would feel the spirit. The second was about Jesus Christ and how they could follow him. The next one was a review of Joseph Smith restoration. The mom and the dad both told us that they had been to so many churches before and have never felt so much love and "homeyness" in any other church. As the spirit was testifying to me that this was true I was able to tell them that that was Heavenly Father's way of saying.. by the power of the Holy Ghost "You ARE home" They agreed. The beginning speaker spoke last and asked them if they had felt as promised and they said yes. They know what they need to do. The family of 5 will soon become members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. All because of following 1 prompting. STOP HIM. The parents will need to get permission from their goverment to get married, and then they WILL be baptized! Amazing!
Well other than this things are going great. The work here in Borås is moving forward and the lord is tuly blessing us by finding those that will recieve us. And for that I am truly thankful.. it makes teaching a lot easier!
I love this church. I am thankful to be a part of this amazing and miraculous work. I realize more and more by the testimonies of our investigators and new converts that the Lord IS gathering the elect... and that this work can NEVER Cease.
Love,

Hot and Humid... In SWEDEN?

Another amazing week has just flown by and we have been really blessed... AGAIN!
Zaki our man from Afghanistan has been doing great this week. Although a new convert... he has been holding strong! We were blessed to see him come on his own and not only that... but he brought one of his friends! His name is Yani and he was interested to see what it was like! So we were able to teach him and hopefully we will be able to see him joining his friend in the waters of baptism!
Zeina from Lebanon was a little unsure about Thomas S Monson being the prophet and needed to be taught some important commandments... so we decided to do it all in one teach! We were able to watch president monson and listen to it in Arabic she was muslim... and she had a brother who had passed away a while ago. So we picked the talk He Is Risen! I could feel the spirit so strong when the Prophet says... , “If a man die, shall he live again?” To all within the sound of my voice, I declare, If a man die, he SHALL live again. We know, for we have the light of revealed truth. AMAZING! We then taught her about the sabbath day and tithing and was willing to keep it... after an interview by elder winegar and a couple of visits... She decided to be baptized on Saturday! I was able to do the honors of baptizing her and it was a great experience. Elder Bush confirmed her in Sacrament meeting the following day and did an amazing job! After her baptism... another one of our investigators who was muslim asked... what made you join christianity? She said... Because Jesus Christ IS the Son of God! And I know this is true because of the Holy Ghost! If you people know much about Muslim beliefs that was a straight shot to their beliefs and she was AMAZING! We were truly blessed to see her bare her testimony so strong after her baptism!
Kiran is a man who I found on the bus. He is from India. Elder Winegar were able to teach him about Faith and what he needs to do to recieve a witness! Throughout this lesson he was able to teach himself and understand what he had to do to experience the spirit of conversion! He was determined to read the Book of Mormon and to come to church! Exciting!
Another experience which was amazing this week. So we were in the park and we had been contacting for a very long time with no success. So, naturally we decided we were going to take the bus and just do a little tracting before our next teach. My companion and I were wiped out... frustrated and not sure what to do... as the bus pulled up... I had this distinct feeling that there was just ONE more person we had to talk to before we got on a bus. So.. not sure what to do I followed it. We contacted more in the park and more people said no. So we decided to talk to this guy who was headed in our direction. He told us that he was looking for a church to go to and had only been in Sweden for 1 week. He is from Africa... we gave him a Book of Mormon and got his number and a return appointment! How the lord really blessed us by that prompting!
Another amazing experience was with a lady from Ivory Coast. Another contacting instance... we both saw this lady at the same time and she was about to cross the street. But she STOPPED... and she then looked towards our direction and walked... Knowing that she must have been prompted for some reason we stopped her. She was interested and we met her 2 days later. We taught her the first lesson... and presented the Book of Mormon as Another testament of Jesus Christ... we asked her how Christ had played a role in her life. She bore testimony to us and said that Jesus was always by her side and comforted her. She told of an experience which brought tears to her eyes. We talked about the Book of Mormon... and said we had it in French. We put the book in her hands and she said... For Me? (kinda like my 6 year old voice saying "tomorrow?") And we said of course! She put this book close to her heart and those same tears came to her eyes! We asked if we could leave her with a prayer and she asked us if she could say it in French... of COURSE! so she said the prayer and I felt the spirit so strong by the sincerity of her voice. She commited to come to church next sunday and promised to start reading in the book!
It is AMAZING to be a part of this great work. I am frequently reminded of the scripture "There is no other name given...." Christ brings Comfort... Happiness... Purification...
Christ brings Salvation to those that Come Unto Him!
The Book of Mormon is the only way we can fully understand the FULL gospel of Jesus Christ! I am trully grateful that we have IT, along with the only true and Living church that comes along with it!
Tomorrow is Sharpening so I can't wait to be sharpened! I was able to use the Joseph Smith pamphlets in Serbian... and they worked WONDERS! Send my thanks to jake Dedow and that you mom for sending that! I did recieve the Preach My Gospel in Swedish and I love! my companion is definitely jealous! Also thank the primary for sending me their package as well! It was well appreciated! Thanks for everything you all do! Your letters are amazing and look forward to hearing more about your summer! Congrats to Spain...
I love you all! Keep doing what you do!
Love Always...

ZAKI!

So it sounds like the fam had an amazing time over the 4th of July! That's so exciting to hear about Anthony on his way, also with the cordons... I can't believe that we were in their position 6 YEARS ago! Holy Cow how time flies! So many things have happened since then! I am truly humbled by how blessed I have been over these years! So much learned... some lessons learned many times... (jake?)! Anywho.... I am debating to ask you guys for pictures of the Mantua house... although I would really like to see it... I think I can wait! HAIGH! Well I love getting emails from you all and thanks for writing your little bro in Sweden!
This was quite an amazing week! I have been blessed in so many ways! One of the nightly plannings that we had was pretty amazing! I saw that we had two teaches and then an hour in between then. I had a distinct impression that something special happen between those two teaches. So I wrote down a star. The next day, after we had the first teach.... we were looking around... waiting to see what this special prompting was all about... as we were contacting I looked over into the park. And I saw two ladies... sitting on the ground... with dark skin... and BRIGHT YELLOW shirts... you could only guess who I thought those people were. As this shot of Joy swelled in my heart I knew I was supposed to talk to them. As I came closer I interrupted them my saying com licensa? And they answered me back! What a relief it was to finally hear that beautiful tongue again! I asked them where they were from and one was from Rio and the other from somewhere up north. We told them who we were and why we were there. Unfortunately they weren't interested. But I bore my testimony to them in Portuguese and made sure they knew why I was there and told them of God's love for them. I was so comforted to know that even though they weren't interested... they could see that it wasn't just by circumstance that I was there... but in the Lord's time and in his way they will be able to recieve the gospel! That was amazing!
So our main man Zaki was a miracle story this week. We were able to get the Zone Leaders to do Work overs with us. We went through the Baptismal Interview questions with Zaki and everything was clear. Since the Zone Leader was there that day... we decided that he would be able to have an interview with him that night! And so he did and he was ready for Saturday! On saturday he came to church and we got him all ready for the service. He chose me to do the Baptism. As we headed to the Baptismal font... I walked in to it and it was only knee high... SHEESH. So he came in and I said the prayer. The first time he wasn't able to get his hnds all the way in... so we tried it a second time... and everything was under except his knee cap... (the water was too low) So.. the third time we were told that he should sit down and I should kneel... And it went very smoothly. Funny story... then the next day I was sure that he would choose elder Bush to do the confirmation but he told me to... SCARY! My first confirmation in Swedish! But it was awesome! The spirit was strong and told me some very distinct things for him to know. That was an amazing experience.
Zeina from Lebanon is doing great... and has a strong desire to follow Jesus Christ. So she was able to come to the baptismal service... willing to keep the word of wisdom and looking pretty positive for this saturday!
Alinda we were able to watch Joseph Smith prophet of the restoration. And she liked it but just isnt into this Joseph Smith idea... which is sad. But she commited to read and pray a lot more. And hopefully she will be doing that!
Other than that our investigators are doing great.. just busy on vacation and stuff during the summer.
One more last story then I have to play some Innebandy... because im in Jönköping today celebrating the 4th of July!
So the Serbian family had been going through some crazy stuff during the week. But they were able to make it to church! Our ward mission leader happened to print out the 2nd lesson in Serbian out of Preach my Gospel... pretty miraculous! So we told them to read... And seeing how willing they were to come to church... I remembered distinctly how were were taught last rransfer that a Baptismal commitment should be specific and direct. I remembered that the commitment was in every chapter of the lessons... So I showed them the commitment... they read it out loud.. looked at each other and said YES! That miraculous family that we found... just by saying KYRKA... and them coming to church and Anja the less active translating for them... has commited to Baptism!!! Amazing! July 24th is what we are shooting for! What a miraculous sunday! AGAIN! I am loving Sundays here!
Well family there is probably more to say... but this is way too long and am sure you are getting sick of it! Our weather right now is perfect and has been all week! Sun is shining... between 70-80... maybe even reached 90 the other day! Loving it! Beautiful sunsets!
I love you all and thanks for the letters and love and support....
LOVE ALWAYS
